Warwick Township-based Tait helped with rigging during Super Bowl LVII's historic halftime show
Entertainment | lancasteronline.com: For most of the Super Bowl LVII's halftime show, pop singer Rihanna sang while suspended on floating platforms.
In doing so, Rihanna became the first performer to headline the Super Bowl halftime show while pregnant.

The Super Bowl halftime show is always spectacular and my favorite part of the Super Bowl game. I was excited to see this year’s show because it was Rihanna performing, and I knew it was going to be spectacular. The set pieces were incredible this year and I was so impressed with the overall performance. I am still in awe of the fact that Tait companies did this and many other Super Bowl performances, and one of the current seniors, Bridget, is a part of this team of workers. I think that it is so cool that one day we could also be working for Tait or a company like Tait and build set pieces for people like Rihanna. Performances like this always reassure me that I chose the right career path for my life because I can tell that by continuing to do theatre, I will never get bored with the industry.
This performance was so interesting to me – I really enjoyed it. As I’m sure others were, I was unable to watch the performance without thinking about the rigging and mechanics of it all. I also thought it was interesting and entertaining how heavily these platforms were used in the choreography of the number. Not only were the platforms acting as a surface for the performers, but the moving of the platforms was a part of the spectacle of the entire performance. It was also cool to put two and two together that the platforms had to serve so many functions, as well as house the lights and all of their equipment, as well as the tethers for the performers. I think that it would be really awesome to work on a show like this at some point, I’d love to learn more about all that goes into something like this.
