Man, what a way to finish up your time as artistic director. I think that this is a great way for Smith to leave her position at Arena Stage. The issue of bodily autonomy is something that affects almost everyone, especially in America, especially now. The way that some people are making laws that only affect other people is completely insane to me. The way that this production is a collection of monologues about different bodily autonomy is very interesting to me and very intriguing to me as well. I would love to see one of the productions however it seems as though there is not one near us. I also think that it is very cool that the licensing fees have been waived for the monologues so as to make it easier to produce across the nation.
