Hippotizer drives huge LED screen for prominent Egyptian performer Mohamed Ramadan
LightSoundJournal.com: Green Hippo’s Taiga and Karst+ were the media servers of choice for man-of-the-moment Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan, whose recent outdoor performance on Egypt’s North Coast saw 85,000 fans gather for what the singer described as “the largest audience attendance in 2021.”

This is an incredible setup. I can’t imagine the pictures even begin to do justice to the true scale of this stage and the media setup. I feel like the only way to get a true perspective on this would be to see it in person. I would absolutely love to have an opportunity to work on a load in for a show like this. Our Chosky shows usually have around 240 or so fixtures in the plot, and this production had nearly four times that amount. The planning of not only the load in but the networking scheme and data layout for this setup must have been a massively difficult project, but I think this would be a really fun challenge to work on with a team. Not to mention, of course, loading all of this in to the venue. The venue, of course, being a constructed stage (which I would also love to participate in the load in for). Concert lighting is so interesting to me and I would love to work on at least a few concerts in the future just to be able to work on something of such and awe inspiring scale.
