For some reason that I can not quite put my finger on, LED walls have always fascinated me, and this one is no different. I will say, when I read the article title claiming “Canada's Largest hospitality LED video wall” I was not really expecting just a big flat screen in a hotel ballroom. Not that the venue diminishes the accomplishment, I was just expecting something a little more flashy. Additionally, the one million dollar price point does not seem so out of the world for a record breaking LED wall. I know nothing about this Westin golf resort in Canada, but I do know the Westin name and so I can assume that the rest of the resort is also quite impressive. To me, the most impressive thing about this wall is how slim the form factor is. Judging by the photographs and the article, the wall was recessed behind the screen, but not by much. LED walls have come such a long way over the years, I do wonder when we will just have LED walls in our houses and get rid of televisions all together.
