BottleRock Festival Yields Low COVID-19 Numbers: Health Officials
Variety: Eleven Napa County residents who attended the BottleRock Napa Valley Festival over Labor Day weekend have tested positive for COVID-19 according to country health officials, who saw the number as an indicator of successful safety protocols.

I have fortunately been able to attend the Bottle Rock Festival in Napa, California a couple times and absolutely loved it. It is so great to hear that they have been able to bounce back from having to cancel the event last year. The Bottle Rock Festival really was something special. Having attended Coachella, Bottle Rock, Outside Lands, and a few smaller festivals, I can absolutely say that Bottle Rock was my favorite. They always seem to have a great line up of bands and other artists, as well as a great venue. The open air venue they always used when I was attending was open, spacious, and stages and food were laid out perfectly. This year seams to be no different. With headliners including the Foo Fighters, Miley Cyrus, and Guns N' Roses, the lineup doesn't seem like it will let anyone down. I loved attending Bottle Rock and hope to be able to do so again in the near future.
It is incredibly encouraging knowing that the Festival was able to put in place protocols so that few locals or attendees caught Covid 19. This proves that there are ways that live entertainment can continue to flourish even during the pandemic. While I know that it won’t last forever, I can’t help but be worried about the future of my chosen career. It is always terrifying when something so monumental happens in the world that impedes this field of work. But the fact that these protocols worked and were able to make a real difference in the lives of both locals and out of town attendees is incredibly heartwarming. It reminds me a bit of when, in the very thickest bit of the pandemic, concerts would have attendees dance around in those big plastic hamsterball things. Everytime I grow fearful, some wonderful human ingenuity comes along to bring me at least a bit more peace of mind.
