Yeah I won't sugar coat it, it has been a tough year for the arts online. It has been a year of reflection, grief, but also perseverance. It is hard to stay optimistic and motivated during a pandemic. Personally, there has been a lot of rationalizing and trying to put things in the back of my mind, which honestly just bites me in the butt. This year has been unpredictable and hard to manage at times. I stick with theater and what I am studying because I am optimistic that it will come back, in some form. Over the past year, I have dived into new interests and tried to get a broader perspective of the world. I've contemplated changing my major but I have a gut feeling that tells me to stick it out. I understand that this school year is tough. I understand that it's not going to be all fun and games all the time so I'm willing to embrace the situation we find ourselves in and continue to study what I love in the capacity that I can during the pandemic.
