TAIT Has Been Living For The Weeknd’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

LiveDesignOnline: In a year like no other, came a Super Bowl like no other. This last Sunday, Tom Brady wrote himself into the record books once again with a 10th Super Bowl appearance and an unparalleled seventh win at Super Bowl LV, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs faced off.

Since 2002, my mom and I have watched every Super Bowl together, and naturally the Halftime shows that accompany the football. This year we watched together over Zoom and when the Halftime show came on I immediately wondered if TAIT had worked on it. It seemed to be similar to work of theirs that I was familiar with and would definitely be a realm of work they were comfortable with. Obviously the most challenging part of the Super Bowl this year are the COVID restrictions and how they have to change frequently. The ability to create such a large scale design that had to incorporate so many different performers, while also navigating restrictions that were changing frequently requires equal parts flexibility and planning. While I am sure there were some moments that were not perfect, as in any live performance, overall I was extremely impressed with what was accomplished during the Halftime show and I do think it is a testament to the work of TAIT and other collaborators.
