I was super excited to read this article because this has been a long going debate between my high school technical director and director. I feel as though a staple good brand has always been Dewalt, but my technical director was a Makita fanatic. It was really great to actually read into the two brands through this article, because all my knowledge for brands were other people's opinions. Learning about the history was really nice in knowing how Makita sort of surpassed Dewalt for the first time by introducing the cordless drill first. I also had no idea that Dewalt was a part of the Stanley Black and Decker Group. This makes me a lot more attracted to Makita, as they are their own brand and I'd like to support their company. On the other hand, the Stanley Black and Decker Group is such a big corporation and is quite stacked in terms of money.
