This article is a promotion for the updated MIX 2.0. Going in to this article I had no idea what mix was, but after reading it I got a good understanding: a platform to help designers, mostly in the film industry. Part of this fun new update is an updated app called myMIX. As one way to learn more about what MIX is and what it does, I downloaded the app. The app works through bluetooth connection to fixtures to control from your phone. Seeing as I have no lighting fixtures in my dorm room besides a desk lamp, the app really serves me no purpose, but it is really cool to look at all the new features that the article discusses. One thing that was just released on the app is more than 50 true Rosco gels. I have multiple Rosc gel swatches, so being able to click through them on the app as if I am flipping through the swatch book is really fun.
