This is a really cool concept that I think should become a thing that happens more than once. If these little chips were created for every couple hundred years and kept on record somewhere on Earth, there would be a really unique and compact way to access thousands of tidbits of information about the arts, culture, and science of an era. This article didn’t really say if artists and universities from all over the world contributed to the chip, but I assume they were. Now, as far as sending the MoonArk to the moon, I’m not sure how they’re going to “hide” where it’s put or exactly how this is going to work. With the exact-ness of NASA and the other space programs around the world, I feel like the location of the MoonArk will be documented somehow, or the moon rover placing it on the moon will be programmed, or something along those lines. Besides that, I think that this is a fantastic idea and an amazing example of our advancements in technology and creation, and our appreciation for our ever expanding culture.
