Maker Faire Pittsburgh: The weekend of Maker Faire, October 13, 14, and 15, was like listening to the most wonderful jazz. Everything came together – sounds from everywhere, different instruments all playing at the same time – and it all made sense.
This is such a special creative program that incorporates such a diverse array of different musical sounds and art. Programs like this are powerful and make Pittsburgh such a jewel of city. I love that students from the Pittsburgh area were able to come together and enjoy the experience that this event brought. It is very important for students to be exposed to the arts at a young age. Additionally it is great when they are able to interact with the artists themselves so that they can learn more about the creative process. There are countless stories of young artists being inspired by meeting established artists and learning about what inspired them. Hopefully a future artist from the Pittsburgh area was inspired by this event.
