Rockler Table Saw Crosscut Sled - Makes Your Table Saw More Versatile

homefixated.com: Ask a random woodworker what power tool they consider the backbone of their shop. There’s a good chance “table saw” will be at or near the tip of their tongue. Figuratively, we hope. Most projects begin at the table saw. But to get the most out of yours, you need to accessorize: a fashionable handbag, some shiny bling and a jig or two. One jig every woodworker should own is a crosscut sled.

This crosscut sled is not too different from many other after market crosscut sleds. I suppose the biggest diffenrence is the angle viewport window. It is far bigger and therefore easier to make preocise than your standard angle gauge so that will definelty be a big plus. A lot of third party products don’t actually mount on a sled and are just glorified crosscut jigs. I like that this is a full sled so you can clamp your piece down so it does not shift as you push through. The stop block is also a plus but that is standard across crosscut jigs I would say. It is also nice to see that this seems pretty rugged, but also easily adjustable. There is often a battle between adjustability and rigidity but this looks like it does it well. Lastly, my favorite part about this sled is its simplicity. It does what it says it does and that’s it. No bells and whistles that make it more susceptible to breaking or getting out of alignment.
