Video: watch Photoshop CS6 cut hours of editing down to seconds

DVICE: Adobe might have conceded that mobile Flash wasn't worth the hassle, but it still knows how to keep Photoshop as the premier image editing tool. Be astounded as you see Photoshop CS6's Content Aware Fill tool magically move objects around a picture with little effort. Photoshop is only a tool. What you do with it and how you push the software to its limits to bend to your creativity takes years of learning. Ask any Photoshop pro, and the answers will be the same: most complex photoshopping takes hours to work on. It's the only reason why some graphic designers are paid the big bucks.

This is absolutely crazy. The fact that the software is advanced enough to guess what is behind something in a photo is mind blowing. The extend tool allows us to alter reality with such ease that it will be difficult to take any incredible photo at face value. This technology is so powerful and the ease of use has gotten to a wonderful point.

When I first discovered "content aware", it was a graphic design class that was fairly based around photoshop. To be honest, I had no idea that technology could go as far as to guess what is behind an image and to move huge parts of the picture around while maintaining the overall essence of the image as a whole. The actual video and the options that they displayed for the audience really opened my eyes more so than the basic graphic design class. There is so much that you can now do on photoshop, and it has almost turned into an art form in itself.
I believe that my favorite feature was the first example of blurring out the distracting pavement and replacing it with the rest of the dirt and field all around the other edges to the car. I think I'll have to re-watch that because when I try that, I am the example of the person that gets a bit of the car duplicated.
