Review: 'Scared of Dance' is fun fable
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: If the words "Let's dance" bring on a panic attack, you're likely to recognize Jennifer Childs as a kindred spirit. Childs' comedic, but meaningful, one-woman show "Why I'm Scared of Dance by Jen Childs" is meant for any reluctant student who sought refuge in the back row of a dance class or realized that their ballroom style looked more like convulsions than joyous abandon. Childs is the founder and artistic director of the 1812 Productions theater company in Philadelphia, the only professional U.S. theater company dedicated to comedy.
