The 2012/13 Pittsburgh Public Theater season will run Sept. 27 through June 30, 2013, at the O'Reilly Theater, 621 Penn Ave., Downtown. "This year was an international travelogue ... a series of plays from all over the world," Pappas says.

This sounds like an interesting season. I always find it interesting that both the Public and City Theatre tend to do quite a few shows that either just left Broadway or are on the way there. I guess it's good to do a show while it's popular. In the case of the new season, I'm especially excited that "Clybourne Park" is going to be produced here! The play is slated to go to Broadway, but funding has been falling through, and it's a pulitzer prize winner. That, "Thurgood", and "1776" should be exciting productions. I also love the emphasis on American work, since it'll be partly during the election year, and I'm sure the work will make some important commentary on our nation today.
