Festival brings 'creative spirit of the Netherlands' to Pittsburgh, envoy says

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Contemporary Dutch artists and performers are known for their innovative, collectively created art. Representatives of the Dutch government are looking to the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Distinctively Dutch Festival to foster a similar climate between businesses and educational institutions in Pittsburgh and the Netherlands. "I strongly believe that innovation in art brings about innovation in the economy as well," says Renee Jones-Bos, the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United States.

Culture, the arts, and entertainers do bring many people together. The thought of brining business and education together between two cultures while celebrating their performers is a great motive to take hold of relationships. Knowing that the Dutch and Americans not only foster relationships through business and education but through the arts brings a great sense of overall community and well rounded cultures.
