The latest in the Trust's series of cultural festivals that included 2004's Quebec festival and 2007's Australian edition, Distinctively Dutch features dance, music, visual art, film and theater reflecting contemporary Dutch culture.

Dutch arts fest opens with U.S. premiere of a sexually charged dance work
Pittsburgh City Paper: A Dutch invasion has arrived in town in the form of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's three-month Distinctively Dutch Festival. I like the idea that they’re dancers study things that are not purely dancing, such as acrobatics, free running, boxing, and capoeira in order to help them improve their performances. I would be interested to see how they integrated all of these disciplines especially the free running. The idea that “the dancers will be free-running over bodies” is especially exciting. I would be very interested to see how they chose to portray the “the sexual Hunt” through movement.
