The Pueblo Chieftain: Colorado State And Regional News: Christo's Over the River artwork was the focus of a daylong public hearing Wednesday during which supporters and opponents urged Fremont County commissioners to issue or block a temporary use permit for the grand-scale artwork. The New York-based artist Christo wants to suspend 5.9 miles of translucent fabric panels above the Arkansas River in eight segments of a 42-mile stretch between Canon City and Salida. The artwork is scheduled for display during the first two weeks of August 2014.
