Last week I read an article about 25 or so people protesting the merger. This number has now grown to 100 and they're taking serious action! Last week I had said I would be surprised if their concerns were heard (even though they deserve to be heard), but here they are. I'm glad that these people are standing up for themselves, because they absolutely have the right to know more information about how their health and pension benefits will be affected by this merger. These people seem determined, but SAG and AFTRA leaders also seem determined for this merger to go through. I'm sure some sort of agreement will be reached, and I hope thet all parties get what they want in the need. It's sort of sad that this issue may have to be handled in a lawsuit, but if that's what it takes for SAG and AFTRA members' concerns to be addressed, then I'm glad it's happening.
