Bill Rauch Named U.S. Artists Fellow
Stage-directions: "The Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Artistic Director Bill Rauch was honored with 50 artists from across the country in receiving a $50,000 unrestricted grant. The winners will gather at a celebration at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago."

it was interesting to read this article after reading the one last week about how the Oregon Shakespeare Festival did not profit this season and is in considerable debt. many commentators on that article stated that it was not the quality of the season or festival that caused the lack of income, and i think this article this week shows that this is true. the work this man is creating is not at all the reason for the festivals financial failures.
