WDUQNews: "The Pittsburgh cultural trust says it will work closely with the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh to produce 2009 Three Rivers Arts Festival without a hitch."
Wonder what this means for the operations department. Hopefully it won't mean to much change. The trust says they have a knack for these things but from what I hear, the way the children's fest runs is totally different from the arts fest. All the way down to being paid hourly vs being paid a stipend (and not a pretty one).
getting feedback from the community seems like something they should have been doing in the first place. it's going to be interesting to see what happens this year. i think that the festival will have a stronger positive impact if it reflects what pittsburgh as a whole wants, rather than the ideas of administrators and "artists".
