Pneumatic Nailers
ToolsOnline: "Pneumatic nailers and staplers are among the most dangerous construction tools used on jobsites, and can cause serious injuries to both the operator and workers nearby if used improperly. All workers should receive proper training on these tools, including instructions about compressor settings, hose connections, and fastening procedures, before being allowed to use them."

OSHA would have a regulation on how close you have to be to your workbench if tools were left out.
it makes sense, especially in the case of power/pneumatic ones
Pneumatic Stapler is the tool not easily used. Like a real gun, it jumps back itself after pushing the staple into the object. It could be also like machine gun in the circumstance of the improper and unconscious operation. Our hand, wrist and forearm should be very strong to hold pneumatic stapler for having a nail well stapled. Probably, we should train our muscle for properly and constantly using it. I admire people who are able to use one hand holding the two joint objects and use another hand pulling its trigger because I can't.
I don't know if I agree that stapler and nailers are some of the most dangerous tools on a site. I lean to say that the ease in misuse [intentional or not] is often misunderstood. The handling of the tool is something to take more seriously than the tool is often given.
When I first got here last year I had a fairly large fear of Pneumatic tools, nailers specifically. I have gotten much better thanks to a familiarity, but the fact is, they're still just as dangerous now as they were then. I wish all of these precautions were taken in the shop, because there are a lot of potentially dangerous situations, even just as simple as leaving the gun unattended in the middle of the floor.
