I would love this, but the whole point is to raise money, so i don't think it's aimed at the demographic of poor, broke college student. The only person i would really pay 10 to have my picture taken with is Ian McKellen, and I'm really surprised he's there. It sounds like a good time, and a good thing for Broadway geeks to spend money on for a good cause.
I'm really glad that broadway is able to raise this amount of money for a good cause. It seems these days that theatre is constantly underminded to film and music. Well, by the looks of profits from this fundraiser, I think it's safe to say broadway can always attract a crowd (a paying crowd!). Overall i think it is by far the most effective way to raise a large amount of money for a good cause.
it is a bit ridiculous, but if it is for a good cause a if people will pay the price (and they will) then i say it is all good.
It's so great for both fund raisers and the participants to have an opportunity to really enjoy theatre outside of the theaters. Hopefully they raised a lot of money for the good cause, because people like me will spend some serious money there.
What a fun way to raise money. Its quite expense though, so you wont see me there, but I'm sure there are plenty of Broadway fanatics that wont mind. Its all for a good cause so why not!
