London Musical 'Desperately Seeking Susan' Will Launch Later
Yahoo! News: "The 'quirky love story is set in New York City's vibrant Lower East Side and driven by the pulsating energy of classic Blondie songs,' the producers say. 'Based on the smash hit 1980s movie, this new musical is a whirlwind fairytale of mistaken identity, magic shows and rock 'n' roll.'"

Generally, I'm wary of musicals based on things that seem kind of random, or stories that leave you wondering how on earth they could have added singing and dancing without wasting everyone's time, but this one sounds really fun! I adore this film (I totally want to be Madonna--I mean Susan), and the idea of a very 80s, chick-flicky musical version sounds fun. What a fun set too, with all the backstreets and quirky appartments Roberta finds herself in. And I can only imagine the costumes...I'm sure lots of metalics and funky jewelery is involved.
At first the article left me wondering, what on earth could they possible have technically to postpone the performances? But dreaming up my own Desperately Seeking Susan set just answered my own question. All I can say is, I'd love to see it!
