'Grease' show poses problem for director

Post Gazette: "This production of 'Grease' will be groundbreaking in several ways: It will be the first to merge songs and story elements from the hit 1978 film musical and original stage version, and it will be the first Broadway production to cast its leading roles through a television contest. The concept isn't totally novel: British TV audiences recently cast the leads in a West End production of 'The Sound of Music.' The 'Grease' NBC reality show is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions."
