Acts of violence

DenverPost.com: "'Make eyeballs that squish ... set fire in a trash can ... chop actor's arm off ... 8-mm semi-automatic gun-safety check ... rip out Gloucester's eyes ... stab Cornwall ... stab servant ... rip out the G-man's other eye ... lunch (gourmet grilled cheese!) ... stab Oswald with his own sword ... gun sound and safety test ... choreograph mass suicide ... poison Regan ... climactic sword battle ... and review the 18 blood effects - in 'King Lear' alone.'"

Theatrical gore is fascinating. Especially when you look at it throughout history, back to the Roman arena spectacles. When it comes to the nature of humans and what we enjoy on--hopefully--a more primitive level, it's quite the disturbing revelation to ponder.
