This was a long but rewarding read. I am really passionate about new work and specifically new work that has a very specific mission in mind. That mission can literally be just wanting to make people laugh. I don’t really care all that much about what it is (with boundaries of course) so long as there is a mission. I like people that know why they are doing something because in my experience it leads to a high level of drive. This story is clearly an important one and I totally agree with her thoughts about how important it is to get stories like this in front of people and specifically children. I know this is a big topic for a lot of people too and I used to feel really strongly about it and I still do but I acknowledge that there is some balance to be found. I think you cannot do it with just one story. This article talks about asking them what they like and what they do not like. And I think it takes many experiences and reflections to really impact people, especially children.
