As a lover of immersive theater, this article immediately caught my eye. Something that I feel that the immersive performance scene does extremely well is that they take subjects that people already know and are interested in (Edgar Allen Poe and his writings) and turning it into performance work. Immersive theater can be rather daunting to the average viewer, even someone that is interested in the arts, so this bridges that gap in a way. From the photography and everything, this certainly seems well thought out and put together, from the location to the costumes, this performance looks absolutely stunning. The other compelling element of this article is diving into the world of how to safely and artistically invite people into this world that they have created. After all, there has to be some form of ground rules for the spectators, so things dont go completely off the rails. Thats where things can get testy, but things obviously seem to be going well for this successful operation.
