Anyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with all things Ragtime. I just find it to be the absolute perfect American musical. It is absolutely touching and exactly what we need in the world right now, especially with the current administration. It is a work of art that reminds people how important it is to look back at our American history and view how it compares to today’s world. It is not so different from what is going on in our country today. It gives people hope and shares stories that do not get highlighted on the big stage nearly as much as they should be. I am headed to New York next week, and all I want to do is see this show. However, the prices of tickets are absolutely astronomical. I know that Lincoln Center does student rush tickets, but that is only if the show is not yet sold out, which, seeing as the demand for tickets is extraordinarily high, is quite unlikely.
