GLP MAD MAXX creates high visual impact over The Weeknd’s touring city skyline

I saw one of these in action this summer, and they are absolutely crazy fixtures. The demonstration I saw had the fixture at around 20% and it still lit up the convention hall that it was in. GLP also showed some testing footage from a demonstration to Walt Disney Imagineering at EPCOT, in which the fixtures seemed to be as bright if not brighter than the existing arc-source infrastructure around the massive lake within the park. Following the demonstration, I figured that it would not take long for the fixtures to be integrated into concert tours and other large scale projects. The Weeknd is no surprise for this fixture to make its concert debut, as it is a stadium tour at a grand scale. Though, the fact that it was adopted into an existing tour was a bit surprising, as I would have expected new fixtures to make a typical debut during a future tour this year.
