It's cool to see technical companies collaborating with venues to showcase their new hardware and equipment. Personally I think it should become more normal for school venues to receive more collaborative operations with companies that produce equipment for live theatre or concerts. Like it seems like such an opportunity to promote their brand and gives students that are working to work in an industry that is ever evolving the opportunity to work with the latest technology. I think like especially sound wise some of the highest end theatre schools are still really behind the current technology. Like CCM is still running their major plays and musicals on a Digico mixer from 2010, There's just such an opportunity for these companies to get out there with promotions, and it could also serve as a chance for more direct collaboration with students too, maybe offering internships or opportunities to them. Again there's a lot to be desired but seeing these equipment companies start to work more closely with the industry they make things for is nice to see
