I think that it is really important to have specific leadership in place in order to actually enact changes policy wise around environmentally conscious work, for Broadway especially and to inspire and to move that process forward for other places. I think that without leadership real and impactful changes aren’t really able to be made. I find that in the theater space for a long time people have been crafty and in a reuse kind of mindset if only for saving money but there are lots of times that being environmentally conscious is very costly and so I think it is important that we are emphasizing the importance of environmentally friendly work across the industry. I think it is great that the board will have people from across the industry both on and off of Broadway. I think that will improve the work that they do and make sure that all voices are considered in the conversations around environmentally friendly work practices.
