Exceptional Cosplayers at the 2025 Quebec Comiccon
Neatorama: Quebec Comiccon is wrapping up tonight at the Quebec City Convention Centre, right in the back yard of our friends at Geeks Are Sexy. That means we have a gallery of the best cosplayers who made their way to the con. A rather large gallery, too.

Cosplayers never fail to amaze me. The artistry in their costumes and the level of detail that they put in is always so impressive to me. Wolverbling and Blingpool had to put each rhinestone on their suits which takes a lot more time than one might think. Princess Batman is also such a fun character to see come to life. I really enjoy when people decide to just have fun with pre-existing characters, especially when they make them more feminine. A little whimsy never hurt anyone, but there are a decent amount of people that get very offended when people change details about characters including when people make characters more pink. I have some friends who are cosplayers and so much more goes into creating/crafting each part. To make custom professional looking costumes with the tools that they have takes a lot of work. I am very happy that recently cosplayers have been getting the attention they deserve.
I love comic-con so much and I especially love seeing the creativity and craftsmanship in the cosplays at comic-con. I grew up going to comic con every year with my dad, and he would always take me to see the cosplay competition. As I got older, he’d also help me make cosplays for comic con and my halloween costumes. I credit my experiences at comic cons to my love of creating art that can be worn and interacted with. I love watching people express their interests and bring pop culture to life and then get to share that with others. Cosplay is something that is such an unexpected hobby of people to have because anyone can do it. You’ll meet cosplayers who work desk jobs, are teachers, in the trades, as well as professional artists. I love how it offers people of any occupation a creative hobby that brings people together to share their art.
Cosplaying is an incredible art, and you can find so many different images of Cosplayers across the internet. There are so many different ways that one could cosplay a character, but for the most part all cosplays can be split into two main categories. Where one is choosing to create as accurate of a portrayal as possible, and then the other option would be to create a unique artistic representation of a character with an added twist. These twists can range from a simple color change to a radical flip of a characters overall design. The range of changes that can represent can be seen in the blinged out Deadpool and wolverine all the way to the pink batman. There are two main options when actually acquiring a cosplay as well, and in a way it reflects technical direction where you can either buy the completed cosplay, or buy the materials to make it yourself.
