Biggest Live Music Stories 2024: Sphere, Coachella, Live Nation & More
www.billboard.com: The concert business continued to reach new heights in 2024, just three years after the global pandemic brought the live music industry to a standstill. Today, the top 100 global tours generate a combined $10 billion, Live Nation’s share price has hit a new record high and the number of artists generating $50 million on their tours is larger than ever. While the industry still faces challenges, the concert business once again approaches the end of the year poised for another 12 months of record growth.

I’m really glad live entertainment is seeing such a boost in 2024, it seems the industry really is bouncing back from the hit it took because of the covid pandemic. Live concerts really is a huge part of the music industry and it rakes in a lot of hype for listeners (and a lot of money for big artists) , there isn’t really anything that can be compared to a live concert and I think that recognition of how special concerts are is why people are going to them so much in 2024 and I think that trend will continue in 2025. A lot of major artists have been on tour so fans of many genres have been spoilt for choice for concert options for their favorite artists. On that note I do think that it’s expected that Coachella would eventually loose attention from the public, it’s gained a negative reputation and it hasn’t done anything to remedy that. Until people view it as a worthwhile time then it will continue not to sellout tickets
