Back in March, this was a crisis- and for a lot of people today, this is still a crisis. But time has passed since then and I think that people realized that more is possible even under the circumstances. Before, it was about reacting to the situation and doing the right thing for the greater good, which was halting and shutting down the operation of filming, events, etc. Now the industry has adapted, and we're looking at a different type of entertainment. I think that smaller cast movies and tv shows are going to be much more popular because you simply can't have a large scene with a lot of extra's because not only would it be irresponsible to film, but much more expensive. Things are moving toward a different direction and I still think that it could work pretty gracefully. I'm hoping that this is all done in the safest possible way and that we're able to see some cool work that came out of this situation.

It is very good that these companies are working through plans for the current and future of filming and theatre under these conditions. These plans will allow the industry to adapt to the times and to find ways to work around the challenges of the Corona Virus without compromising the work. Because the companies won't be scrambling to react to the latest restrictions or guidelines it will take pressure off of one area so that the creators can focus more on their process and product. Even though the plans will almost definitely slow down the process, they will ensure that the companies and creators can do the same good and important work while maintaining safety and health for all involved.

While I think that innovation is necessary to reopen the entertainment industry, I worry that there is more brainstorming being done than actually action. I know that actively taking action isn't something that can be easily done, but I hear more about plans being talked about and meetings happening than hearing these actual plans. Are action steps being kept secret by whoever comes up with them, or are people still floundering after months of these meetings and forums? It sounds like from this article that one small groups of people are coming together to talk about plans and actions, as opposed to the group at large, which just seems more harmful than good and keeps pushing things back, no matter how small. From just the article, there seems to be no talk of concrete plans, just more hopeful outlook, which is beginning to be the only thing that seems to be happening in these articles over the last few weeks. It seems that the entertainment industry is simply plateauing with each new article about this, and I hope to reach an article soon that has some ideas that can actually be put into action.
