Worst FCC Super Bowl Halftime Show Complaints About J-Lo And Shakira

This article makes my day. I do have to say I have not grown up in household where these people are complaining about how "scandalous" this year's half time show was, but this does seen quite excessive. When people are watching a sport where the athletes butt their heads against one another and get concussions but the most aggravating thing was the performance of well choreographed and well executed dancing and it was disrespectful because there was pole dancing? I do have to admit, in recent years it seems like the idea of pole dancing has grown to be more welcoming in a way. What I mean by this, I hear more pole dancing classes popping up in multiple areas, and it's almost regarded as a way to work out now rather than just to be placed in a strip club. But really who knows, a bunch of people were just mad that the halftime show turned them on and I really don't know how to respond to that other than get over it.
Personally, I was also indifferent to this year's half time show. It was very flashy and it also felt very short in my opinion. I can see why some people had a strong reaction to the performance, but I didn’t care. I think that if this was a halftime show 10 years prior than this would be scandalous but now? Honestly social media and just the internet, in general, are bombarded with half-naked (or more) bodies. We are becoming more and more desensitized to seeing skin so it is still surprising sometimes to see people that aren’t on the same page as the majority of society today. Also, I think we are only seeing the polar opinions about this show (I am guessing that the majority of the views found it entertaining and went on with their lives after watching). I don’t entirely disagree that the NC-17 could have put up a warning, but it the end if you don’t like what you're watching DON’T WATCH IT!! I must agree that there were some shots and gestures that were unnecessary and could have been avoided. I give credit to the designers and producers of the halftime show, and I also acknowledge the merit of the complaints of this year’s halftime show. Maybe next year we can just focus on creating a great looking show with some good songs, entertainment doesn’t always have to be a statement about the world and its problems (its important but sometimes you just want something cool to watch without having to dive into the deeper meaning of the piece)
