While there was a lot of controversy about the performance of Shakira and J-Lo we do need to give props to the design and production team working behind the scenes. I didn’t see anything wrong with the technical elements of the show. It was a stunning design and I think that anyone can appreciate the work that went into the show, even if it only lasted 14 minutes. The decorated Sennheiser Digital 6000s are cool to see. I don’t know much about sound, other than what I’ve learned in stagecraft but I bet that it is a huge feat to get the performers to sound right, in-person for anyone in the stadium, and to broadcast it out to millions of viewers at home. I know that in the past there have been some technical difficulties with microphones during the halftime shows but I didn’t hear any mistakes this year. Reading about all the systems that they used were confusing to me, but props to the sound team for designing the system that works for an event like this!
