I am so glad that the Dear Evan Hansen tour has gotten such great reviews. Last Thanksgiving, I was fortunate enough to see Dear Even Hansen on Broadway on Ben Platt's last weekend. I was absolutely blown away by not only the cast's performance but the show and writing itself. The tech perfectly compliments the writing and isn't too overwhelming at all, but still has a certain level of intricacies that you would expect from Broadway. All this being said, when my dad told me he had tickets to see it when it was in town back in Los Angeles, I was nervous that it would not do the same thing for him that it did for me. I wasn't sure that anyone could do the part of Evan Hansen justice after it originating so deeply in Ben Platt as a person. After my dad saw it, I was so happy to hear that he too loved it.
