This article is extremely interesting to me since I am very interested in producing. I have heard of this show for sometime now and knew something was going to happen. The first time I saw the problem though was a friend on Facebook posted a status saying boycott the show and saying the actors were being paid 215$ a week. AEA has than told its members to post about it and dislike the facebook page and comment on it. While I agree with the fact that the actors should be paid more, I do not like the fact they are letting members write information on their status when they do not know the full truth. To me it seems very unprofessional. Also if the numbers are correct of only 215$ a week, they should cut down the number of performers and actually pay them a fair wage. That’s less than 40$ a day which is extremely awful to pay someone. Overall I think the producers and equity need to reach an agreement and not let this spiral out of control.
