I agree strongly with the writer of this article. Naming names is very important. Especially in a industry where everyone’s reputation is what keeps them afloat. I am very proud of Peyton Brown for stepping up for herself and her fellow coworkers and I believe that it was really brave of her to take this step. Time is up, women will no longer sit idle and watch as men dishonor their work and disrespect their presence. In the past year we have seen movies like Wonder Woman and Black Panther, which are movies that technically should not be successful because they don’t have main characters that are white males, be more successful than any straight white male movie. It blows my mind that we are still letting directors who are verbally abusive slip by and not receive punishment. Abuse is never okay, no matter the type. Like I’ve said in my other posts, we are one small step closer, but nothing has been solved or fixed just yet.
