I was a little surprised to read this at first but then I had to step back because I did not think that the CLO would be able to secure a show this big, but then I started to think that the only reason I thought this was because I had seen a poorly designed and directed show a while back. So I decided to go back and look at their past seasons, and looking now it seems that they have started to bring in bigger and bigger shows to Pittsburgh, including the touring productions of “Legally Blonde”, “Kinky Boots”, and more. What I would like to learn more about is the competition and relationship between the PNC Broadway Across America series and the touring productions that the CLO is able to obtain because the CLO is an operating theater organization that also produces their own shows compared to the Broadway Across America series in which it merely brings touring productions to smaller cities and does not produce their own work.
