BERKSHIRE ON STAGE and SCREEN: I predict the denizens of Washington’s Old Ebbitt Grill will be talking about this new play long before it opens, and well after it closes. We don’t know yet whether it is topical, satirical or serious, but we do know that this drama about a Supreme Court Justice in no slick and formulaic bio play, documentary or law lecture. It’s aiming for the real thing: gritty, substantive theatre. Arena Stage under Molly Smith has never been afraid to till the fertile soil of the real America.
