Winter Burlesque Raises $32k for BC/EFA
Stage Directions: Broadway Bares kicked off its 24th season of fundraising January 26 with its Winter Burlesque fundraiser. The two performances in New York City’s XL Nightclub raised $32,781 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year’s burlesque show was dubbed Calendar Girl and the acts took the audiences on a steamy trip through the year. The show was directed and choreographed by Michael Lee Scott, with additional choreography by Sidney Erik Wright and Arte Phillips. Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots) is executive producer and creator of Broadway Bares. A video teaser of the event after the jump (mildly NSFW).
