As I am taking a Sound Material, Sound Art class this semester, I found this article of great interest. At this stage, I do not need mobile capabilities beyond editing on my laptop. However, I am truly enjoying the projects I am creating for the class, and can easily see pursuing sound art experiments after graduation. For my beginner-level entry, NanoStudio ($14.99) seems like an option worth investigating.
