This picture is so captivating and informative of the this time period. The "Single Girl—sassy, sexual, and employed" woman was important for many women in this industry. Although, there werent many roles that depicted this type of woman, it was great when it was showcased. Because it gave a voice to not only the women who were living these lives, but the women who werent and screamed to have one as such. I do enjoy a good monroe type girl on a stage, but to see a well educated, fun, ambitious woman is one of the best representation a woman can have. It says that women are capable of being all of these things without shoving it down a mans throat. Its a bit sneaky by using a nice night out in the theatre to plug it in their minds, but it works. So these women who were able to accomplish this progression are my heroes.
