Nederlander Organization Agrees to Improve Disability Access at Its Theaters

NYTimes.com: The Nederlander Organization has agreed to increase access for disabled people at the nine theaters it operates on Broadway, lawyers for the federal government said Wednesday.
Preet Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, said Nederlander had settled a lawsuit filed by the government in Manhattan federal court by agreeing over the next three years to make a number of changes helping disabled people.

It's been a long time coming. Individuals with disabilities can relate to theatre too. You wouldn't believe it if you walked into some Broadway venues. It's extremely difficult for people without disabilities to get around because of so much walking traffic. It's nearly impossible for people with disabilities to get around. Nederlander made a smart choice that will allow them to avoid future lawsuits and more importantly, accommodating those who need it.
