This is a good event to see. Often IATSE is a good old boys club. Sometimes it is difficult to get into the boys club and sometimes it is nearly impossible. (See Local 1) It seems like all the good positions are locked down by IATSE lifers and macabre as it is, you have to wait for someone to die before you can apply. The article stated that this is the first time that there was an event of this nature so that would enforce my assertion. It is nice to see them reaching a younger generation. We must keep our unions strong.
