6 Favorite Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Broadway Performances
backstage.com: The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has included Broadway numbers almost every year since 1980. This year, the casts of “Annie,” “Bring it On,” “Elf,” “Nice Work If You Can Get It,” and “Cinderella” will perform.
In honor of the Thanksgiving must-watch event, we took a look at some of our favorite past parade performances.

i watched Bring it on.... it was such a mistake to sit at the first row. for bring it on is a musical with too much dances and the nearer you sit, the more dust you ahve to eat....
It looks amazing! I didn't even know that Macy holds Thanksgiving Day Parade every year until I read this article. After reading this article, I most definitely want to attend one of the parade. It is very fascinating to see how all of famous Broadway show have been performed so far. I watched all of the YouTube that were posted on this website and I was imagining how cool it would be if I were there watching the singing of the casts. I could fee their passion. I feel it would have been very difficult to perform especially in this cold weather in November and outdoor stage. I think this moment where I can see a part of Broadway show on a street will be very precious experience and valuable. I want to try to go to NY next Thanksgiving to this parade.
It was amazing to view past performances of broadway performances at the parade. I thought it was interesting to see that the favorites were from iconic shows throughout the years that still prevail even to this day. I was not a fan of most of the shows this year and I can definitely say that none of those shows will be a fan favorite for years to come. The most interesting one was definitely Cinderella, the others fell very short. I also love how the parade allows for broadway to showcase what it has going on and the talent that may not be seen by everyone.
I absolutely loved this article! it really made me very nostalgic. Looking back at these just made me remember every year that i had with my family on thanks giving which is the exact same ritual for me and my family the only thing really changing being the content of the macys thanksgiving parade! Its also interesting to compare all of these amazing musical performances and just musicals in general to the ones that performed this year, which were to say the least, lackluster.
Ahhh I love this article!! I watch the parade every year, and as Alex said, this article made me recall all the great times my family and I had watching the parade. It's also nice to see this recap of the best Broadway performances featured over the years. The parade is always a great outlet for the shows to gain recognition at, and are usually enjoyed. This years', however, weren't quite up to par as these favorites were.
