Lyric Opera of Kansas City cues up solar panels
Kansas City Business Journal: The Lyric Opera of Kansas City is working with Solar Link US Inc. to install solar panels at its new facility in the Crossroads Arts District.
The two solar arrays will include a total of 228 panels, producing 70,300 kilowatt hours of power during the first year. That should cut energy bills by between 25 percent and 30 percent.

Putting solar panels on top of the Lyric Opera of Kansas's new facility is admirable, efficent, and innovative. Not only are they joining the Going Green movement by doing this but also cutting some costs in a high expense- low buget business. To put on a show is expensive by itself but adding facility expeses and workers and it's through the roof. Puitting solar panels on top of the new facility may be the start of more theatres doing so too.
