WQED will team with PBS for August Wilson documentary to air on 'American Masters'
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Pittsburgh-based WQED Multimedia has been awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to support production of a documentary on the life and work of Pittsburgh native and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson.
"August Wilson: The Ground On Which I Stand," a 90-minute high-definition television documentary, will be a co-production of WQED and the PBS series "American Masters." The plan is to air the show in 2015.

It's great that people are trying to keep one of the greatest African American playwrights alive. I love all of Wilson's work, especially Fences. I just seriously hope that the direct can successfully capture the difficulties of Wilsons' life and all the emotion that Wilson conveys through his plays. I will be eagerly waiting for this documentary.
